Enjoy some of the best restaurants in Orlando, Florida, at heavily discounted prices during the month of September 2009.

Orlando may not yet have the dining reputation of other cities in the U.S. but there are so many fine restaurants there that it can take a toll on the wallet trying them all.

During Orlando Magic Dining Month, however, it’s possible to have a wonderful three-course meal at some of the city’s best restaurants for as low as $20 per person. That makes it much more affordable.

What Are the Details of Orlando Magic Dining Month?

This year’s event, sponsored by the Orlando Visitor's Bureau, takes place throughout the entire month of September 2009, and features over 65 different restaurants throughout the Orlando area.

Each is offering a three-course meal, consisting of an appetizer, entrée and dessert, at either $20 or $30 per person. Considering at some of the restaurants, just the entree could cost that much normally, the savings can be quite substantial.

Eating out during the event is also for a good cause (besides saving money), as $1 from every prix fixe meal will be donated to the Arnold Palmer’s Children’s Hospital.

What Restaurants Are Participating?

The variety of restaurants that are included in this year’s Orlando Magic Dining Month represent a wide variety of cuisines and locales within Central Florida – even some theme park eateries are participating.

In the $20 dinner category are such eateries as BB King’s Blues Club, Brio Tuscan Grille, Cantina Laredo, Elephant Bar Restaurant, Funky Monkey Wine Company, and Urban Flats. Several Universal Studios restaurants are also offering the $20 prix fixe meals, including Bob Marley’s, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Latin Quarter and Pat O’Brien’s.

In the $30 dinner category are more fine dining establishments including The Boheme at the Grand Bohemian Hotel, Cuba Libre, K Restaurant Wine Bar, Le Coq Au Vin, Morton’s Steakhouse, Roy’s Restaurant and Seasons 52. Among the theme park offerings at $30 are Fulton’s Crab House at Downtown Disney, Bice at the Portofino Hotel, Emeril’s at Universal Orlando, and The Kitchen at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Regardless of taste, it should be possible to find something to suit every palette during this event.

How to Book a Reservation During Orlando Magic Dining Month

To make a reservation, contact the restaurants directly by phone or visit their websites. This information can be found on the official website for Orlando Magic Dining Month, along with the special menus created by the restaurants for the event. Additionally, many of these restaurants allow online reservations via Open Table.

Once at the restaurant, ask to see the special promotional menu, and enjoy the meal at a fraction of the normal price.

The hardest part about getting this great deal will just be deciding which place to eat at, so get out there and dine in Orlando!
