What Are the Details of Restaurant Week in San Diego?The 2009 winter edition of restaurant week occurs January 11 through 16. This will be the fifth year of the event, which is organized by the San Diego Chapter of the California Restaurant Association in partnership with the San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau and San Diego Magazine. During this time period, over 150 of the city’s best eateries will offer a three-course dinner, which generally consist of an appetizer, an entrée and dessert, for prices that range between $20 to $40 per person. Considering on a normal evening, the entrees alone can be that much, this event offers great dining deals to those vacationing in San Diego during this time period. For the 2009 winter edition, a new twist has been added in that select restaurant menus will benefit the Girl Scouts by including their famous cookies as an ingredient in certain dishes. What Restaurants Are Participating?As of the publication of this article, a wide variety of dining establishments have signed on to the 2009 edition of San Diego’s restaurant week. In the $20 dinner category are such eateries as Café Coyote, Casa Guadalajara and Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge. In the $30 dinner category are selections ranging from 333 Pacific to the Chart House to Indigo Grill. Finally, representing the $40 dinner category are fine dining establishments such as 1500 Ocean, Croce’s Restaurant & Jazz Bar, Firenze Trattoria and Nobu San Diego. Regardless of taste, it should be possible to find something to suit every palette during this event. This information can be found on the official website for San Diego Restaurant Week, along with the special menus created by the restaurants for the event. Additionally, many of these restaurants allow online reservations via Open Table. Once at the restaurant, ask to see the restaurant week menu, and enjoy the meal at a fraction of the normal price.
